Kayla and Mike’s wedding completely embodied classic, joyful elegance. With families from Minnesota and New York, the couple knew they needed to find a destination wedding location worth traveling for. Recalling a trip they had taken to Newport together, Kayla remembered the seaside town’s nautical charm and the beauty of its Gilded Age mansions. Upon visiting Rosecliff, she knew immediately it was where she wanted to have the wedding. Rosecliff, with its grand facade, stunning ballroom, and spectacular back lawn, became a wonderful canvas to layer on her chosen colors of blush, soft whites, and ivory. To recreate one of her favorite childhood memories of visiting the Minnesota State Fair, they created a cocktail hour food station filled with cheese curds, mini corn dogs, fish & chips, and Sweet Martha’s Cookies – an institution at the fair that serves chocolate chip cookies by the bucket. The ceremony was held on the back lawn of the property with an elegant black-tie reception following in the beautiful ballroom of Rosecliff.
