Recently, I was lucky enough to attend a workshop hosted by the incredibly talented and kind, Clary Pfeiffer. I’ve been a huge admirer of Clary’s work for quite some time now and it was such a great experience to learn from her. The workshop focused primarily on shooting with film. Now, I don’t actually shoot film, but I do love the look and feel of film images and wanted to learn more about it. Not only do I like the way film images look, but I like the manner in which film makes you shoot – or rather, think before you shoot. Carefully composing a scene prior to releasing the shutter. This is definitely one of the most important things I took away from the workshop. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity and to work with such a great group of people.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of these amazing contributors:
Florist – Catherine
Styling Assistant – Sarah
Dress Designer – Alice Padrul Bridal Couture
Letterpress – Ruby the Fox
Jewelry – Simons
Hair and Makeup – Annie Heyward
Calligraphy – Yours truly
A friend of mine who works for the Down Syndrom Association of Greater St. Louis recently asked me if I would be interested in doing some family photos for their annual calendar. I’ve been wanting to do some sort of charity work for a while now, so her email couldn’t have come at a better time. It was such a great experience meeting all of these incredible kids and their families. I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work on such an amazing project.
